Our pizza dough and pizza sauce is all homemade with our very own exclusive recipe. Then we hand toss your pizza and bake it inside a real wood burning brick oven that operates at temperatures upwards of 800 degrees fahrenheit. We use only the freshest, brand name toppings to create some signature pizzas like The Trilogy, the Margherita, and our very own Clams Casino with real sliced bacon and minced North Atlantic clams.

Like to keep it simple? Theres just cheese, made with premium whole milk mozzarella that you can not buy in the store. Our pepperoni pizza is probably the biggest crowd pleaser. We also feature local Gianelli Italian Sausage. You wont find that artificial tasting pre-cooked bacon in our restaurant neither. Not a meat person? We have you covered too with our very own Vegetarian pizza.

We also feature a lighter version of pizza known as the tomato pie. Also known as the original New Haven-style pizza, all it has is our own delicious pizza sauce, olive oil, and grated cheese. It is inexpensive and really delivers the true tomato flavor!

Need more? Our cheesy garlic bread is our most popular selling appetizer. We also offer a variety of fire roasted chicken wings, fried breaded mushrooms, and our homemade fried mozzarella wedges. Our Antipasto is a sandwich and a salad all in one! Perhaps some home comfort with our homemade lasagna (no pork, just 100% ground beef and premium cheeses) or stuffed shells covered with our delicious pasta sauce and mozzarella cheese. It comes with a side salad and real garlic bread. Stuffed subs and wraps are also available!

Where did New Haven-style pizza come from?

In the 1920s, Frank Pepe, an immigrant from just outside Naples, Italy arrived in New Haven, Connecticut and created an empire! Being a baker and starting out with nothing more than a cart, he created what New Haven-style pizza is today! Apizza Napoletana, a thin crust, hand tossed pizza baked in a coal fired oven that creates a crisp outside texture with a tender inside.

Mr. Pepe has long since passed but his restaurants went through the next family generation. People and even famous celebrities have come far and wide to the small "Little Italy" area of Wooster Street to try his authentic Italian pizza! Guests have been seen lined up by the dozens often waiting over an hour just to be seated.

All they serve is pizza! No salads, no wings, just some really delicious pizza. That one little cart became one restaurant, then two pizza restaurants next door to each other just to keep up with the demand for their pizza. It is now a six restaurant chain throughout Connecticut and Yonkers, including a restaurant at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, CT.

Since then there have been many who have tried to recreate his pizza success with great failure. Now comes the New Haven Pizza Company. Owned and operated by brothers William and Jason Gittings, former Connecticut natives and previous generation friends of the family. We have re-created Mr. Pepe's original recipe with modern, superior ingredients and the best brand name toppings available that some say is even better than the original!

We have taken our new pizza recipe and are pleased to offer it to the north country. Located far in the back of the Stateway Shopping Center in Watertown, New York is our black sign with the oven fire graphics glowing in the night. Inside you will find a casual, quaintly decorated dining room consisting of 18 mis-matched family style dining tables. A freindly smile from one of our waitstaff, and within minutes your best pizza experience will be underway.

How is our pizza different?

Taste, for one! We don't use cheap part skim mozzarella and canned pizza sauce made from whatever tomatoes didn't make it to the store produce section. We use premium, Italian plum tomatoes that are naturally sweet, enhanced with a just a few herbs. No sugar or corn syrup. Then we top it with Whole milk Italian style 100% mozzarella cheese. Yes it costs a little more, but it is what sets us apart. The best ingredients will always produce the best pizza!

Our pizzas are not always perfectly round. They will likely have some burnt edges too! Our pizzas are hand stretched to the right thickness (or thin-ness might be a better description) so as to bake up perfectly. The pizza is baked next to an open fire in a brick oven where the heat can be very intense.

Don't let our pizza's appearance fool you though! That slight charring gives it a delicious flavor that you won't find in any other poor quality pan pizza.
